On day two, we hiked cardigan. To start off the day we had a great breakfast and we got ready then got into our groups. After we had gotten into our groups, most of the groups started to hike firescrew, but our group had to stay a while and wait for our chaperone to get there. Eventually, our chaperone got there and we started going. Since so many people had started out hiking Firescrew, we had to go to Cardigan first which meant our group had no possible way of making it up all four mountains because cardigan was in between firescrew and all the others. As we were heading up the mountain, we came upon a bridge called Crew Bridge. Crew Bridge is an example of Human Environment Interaction or HEI. The bridge is an example of Human Environment Interaction because humans made it, and it is interacting with the environment. As we got higher, we could notice the difference between the kinds of trees switching from the coniferous zone to the alpine zone. As our group was hiking, we found an old wooden ladder. The ladder was also an example of Human Environment Interaction, it was created by people. The ladder was neat so our group decided to carry it with us all the way. Towards the top of Cardigan, there was an old cabin (another example of Human Environment Interaction). Then when we got to the very top, there was a watchtower for fires(Human Environment Interaction). At the very top, it was also very cold and windy. It ended up being too late in the day to hike Firescrew (never mind the other two mountains), Before we started heading back down again, our group found a frozen neut. The neut had just frozen because of the cold air and wind. Just like the ladder, our group took it with us. After hiking back down the same trails (Human Environment Interaction) that we came up, we got to the lodge (also HEI). That night after dinner, we had a campfire which also happens to be Human Environment Interaction because humans created the fire and it is in the inviroment.
